We hope to encourage our plan participants to live a healthier lifestyle, provide diverse wellness programs and meet your health needs. Your physical and mental wellbeing are valuable and we want to support you and your family to live the best life possible.
Since 2011, the Local 400 Wellness Committee, which is comprised of IBEW Local Welfare Fund Trustees in consultation with industry professionals have encouraged and promoted programs that will maintain and improve the health and well-being of IBEW Local 400 Welfare Fund employee participants and their dependents. From apprenticeship and continuing throughout retirement, the Local 400 Wellness Committee has offered several opportunities for all ages to participate in its mission of healthier lifestyles.
As one of the few construction funds in the state of New Jersey offering a comprehensive wellness program, the Wellness Committee of the IBEW Local 400 Welfare Fund is proud to partner with several outside vendors like EAP (Employee Assistance Program). We also partner with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield with benefits that include a chronic care program, case manager program, and a 24-hour nurse line, as well as the American Institute of Preventative Medicine with monthly newsletters and health risk assessments. These partners aid in assisting our committee and our plan participants with healthier lifestyles.
